*Sling TV is raising the cost of a base package 25%. I guess it really is committed to making cord cutters feel they are getting the same experience they got with cable.
*Bruce Willis has a new movie I've never heard of every month now. He's like the new Nicolas Cage.
*How many people think a Jared Leto Joker movie is a solid idea? Leto's performance couldn't stand out in "Suicide Squad," and that movie was so bad it would have been easy to look good by comparison. I think we're all safe in prejudging this one as a flop before it's even started.
*I'm tired of this narrative about how great the NBA is. Maybe on "basketball Twitter" it is, but I have the old-fashioned take that sports should also be judged on whether the actual games are fun to watch.
*So this new HBO show, Succession--it may well be amazing, but honestly, if it weren't HBO, would anyone give it a second look?
*I think it's irresponsible of fans to speculate Johnny Depp is sick based on a few recent photos.
